Having analytics for tasks and Discussions

When an inbound message is received from a customer, and the message requires internal collaboration on the backend, an admin wants to track how much time is spent on that specific internal task.

Example: As tasks and discussions are assigned to teammates of different departments, it would be beneficial to run reports on how long it takes to complete tasks or the use of specific tags in discussions. We are currently using linked discussions to mark errors and generate metrics with these discussions to their managers.
