Set role when granting teammate group workspace access
Problem
Teammate Groups can only grant default workspace access roles. Assigning non-default roles requires individual user assignments, making permission management inefficient and unscalable for large teams.
Request
Allow admins to select a specific workspace role when granting a teammate group access to a workspace, so groups can be used for any role assignment.
Seconding this idea - I have a scenario where a team needs to be given 'View Only' type access (a custom role - they can view inboxes and add comments, but can't send messages, etc) to multiple different workspaces, which becomes quite inefficient and intensive to process manually.
Having a default role would be great. We use custom permissions and today when adding a teammate group to an inbox I need to go to Roles & Permissions and update all users that I add. It is not that crazy, but makes onboarding/migration to Front that more labor intensive for the admin.
