Currently, it is difficult to measure the effectiveness of outbound communication within Front. While we can see when a message is sent, we lack native visibility into how recipients interact with our emails (opens, link clicks, or reply rates) unless we use third-party integrations. Furthermore, there is no way to aggregate these metrics across specific initiatives or outreach "campaigns."
The Proposed Solution: I suggest implementing a Native Engagement Suite that allows users to:
Track Individual Metrics: Toggle on tracking for Read Receipts, Link Clicks, and Reply Rates directly within the composer.
Campaign/Group Tagging: Add a "Campaign Tag" to outbound emails (separate from organizational tags) to group related outreach efforts.
Unified Analytics Dashboard: A view within Front Analytics to filter by these tags. This would allow teams to compare the performance of different messaging strategies (e.g., "Q1 Upsell Initiative" vs. "New Feature Announcement") to see what actually drives engagement.
Why this matters: This would allow teams to move beyond just managing volume and start managing impact. By seeing what worked versus what didn’t, we can optimize our templates and communication strategies based on real data, all without leaving the Front ecosystem.
