Support role-based access levels for shared contacts

Problem
All teammates with access to shared contacts have the same permissions — there is no way to give some groups read-only access while others can edit.

Request
Allow configuring different access levels (view, edit, manage) for shared contacts per teammate group.

This is available through teammate group and contact list restrictions. Learn more here: https://help.front.com/en/articles/4645696#manage_contact_access

Thank you for your feedback. A quick update: we now allow admins to manage access to shared contacts based on teammate groups.

    • Once enabled, teammates can only browse shared contacts if they belong to a group that was granted access.

    • Teammates can always see contacts when browsing conversations they have access to.

    • Company admins can always see all contacts.

You can read more here. We will continue to improve our contact permissions and please continue to provide feedback.
