There are some features of Instagram DMs that can’t be used from Front (certain types of attachments, stickers, etc.). Additionally, message history is not currently imported in this integration. For these reasons, it’s sometimes necessary to view the actual conversation on Instagram.
Our agents have access to the Instagram page via Meta Business Suite or the Instagram app/website.
Currently, to view the actual conversation on Instagram the agent must open the app/webpage and manually search for the username.
It would be great to have a link to open this chat directly in Instagram. If that isn’t possible, linking to the customer’s Instagram profile would be an acceptable alternative. This is also very easy to implement since the customers Instagram username is already known to front, and profile links have the form instagram.com/[username].
