Support sending and receiving S/MIME encrypted emails

Summary

We have the need to be able to send and receive client documents and need encryption on those emails

More background from customer

We work alot with the government, and other proprietary companies who will always send their emails encrypted. and the only way to view their emails, is to log in to their external system. but we can receive every other email from the same sender as long as its "not encrypted"

If there was a native or built in plug-in like S/mime that would allow .p7m files to be opened and actioned within Front. that would make a world of a difference in being able to bring more users into front (at least for our business).

I have found work-arounds using S/MIME from the microsoft store, and uploading the cert that way, and it works but only to the point of viewing. We also need the ability to action the email. ie. reply, forward, or comment as one would when a user sends a .eml file that we're able to do the same.

Why have an omni channel platform that can only perform part of a function? it means users would have to continue to keep outlook open in order to see the emails. so why use front? Just a thought. (reality check really). its the real world we live in.

Would love to know if this idea has been recently reviewed since being backlogged. Having the ability to encrypt emails from individual and team emails is critical to protecting our clients and our productivity. Our current workaround is manual, timely, and disrupts email threading.

This is critical for protecting our client PII and PHI. Our service teams regularly share sensitive data with clients via email and we want them to send it securely from within Front.

We work in the Medicaid arena and this would be a huge addition
