Move the reading pane to the bottom of the screen
Problem
The conversation reading pane is fixed on the right side — users who prefer a bottom reading pane (as in Outlook) cannot reconfigure the layout.
Request
Allow repositioning the reading pane from the right to the bottom of the screen.
This seems like it would be a reasonably easy update. However, it looks like it was originally submitted 3 years ago, and hasn't been looked at since.
Yes, an outlook basic feature but a huge one.
Yes, please! The UX right now on a regular laptop is horrible compared to the layout of Google Group, Zendesk, and Freshdesk. I can't see who is assigned, I can see the full email subject, etc.
In my case, I want the list and detail view to take the whole space, so only show one at a time.
