Request: We would like to see an "Attachment Content" condition added to the Rules engine (potentially using OCR or AI parsing) that allows us to set triggers based on text or numbers found within a PDF file.
The Problem: We are a high-volume Manufacturer's Rep agency receiving hundreds of Purchase Orders (POs) daily via email. Currently, Front's rules engine can only scan the Email Subject or Body.
However, the critical data we need for routing lives inside the attached PDF, not in the email body. Because Front cannot "read" the attachment, we are forced to manually triage a large portion of the requests that come into our shared inbox.
We typically have two specific use cases:
Routing by Dollar Amount (Thresholds): We have a "Stocking Order" workflow for any PO over $25,000. We need a rule that can scan the PDF for a "Total" field and trigger a tag/assignment if the value exceeds $25k.
Routing by Vendor/Keyword: Many customers send emails with generic subjects like "New Order" We need Front to scan the PDF for specific manufacturer names to automatically route the order to the correct brand specialist.
