I would like to request the development of an AI-powered search functionality within the app that can significantly improve how we search through inboxes and find relevant information.
Here’s how I envision it working:
Question-based Search: The user should be able to ask a question in natural language, such as “What is the status of the XYZ project?” or “Can you show me the last communication with the client ABC?”
AI-driven Search: The AI should then search through all messages in the inboxes and intelligently identify the most relevant responses to the question asked. The AI would not just return a list of emails, but extract the specific answers from the relevant emails.
Highlighting Responses: The response should be displayed clearly, along with a link to the exact message(s) containing the answer. Additionally, it would be helpful if the specific part of the message with the answer could be highlighted, so users can quickly pinpoint the information they need.
Seamless Workflow: This feature would eliminate the need for users to manually search through multiple emails or knowledge bases for the answer. It would be ideal for teams that need quick, accurate responses to specific queries from emails, especially when dealing with high volumes of communication.
As an example, the Superhuman email client has implemented a similar AI-driven search that searches not only in a knowledge base but also in the actual emails received. I believe this is a great application of AI to improve efficiency and productivity within Front App.
I think this feature would significantly enhance how users interact with emails and improve workflow within teams.
