Filter to search by custom field
Description: Being able to search for conversations with a specific Custom Field, for example, custom_field:"Priority=Medium"
Solution:
When typing the custom field value I have the results associated with it that are returned in the result set.

We would like to search our contacts database by a custom field. For example, we have custom fields for State and Country. I would like to quickly see all the contacts in a certain country. The search function doesn't index these custom fields.

I just have some follow-up questions:
Are you doing this search in the inbox search bar or in the contact search bar?
When you type or paste the Mailbox Number in the search bar, do you expect to:
Submit your search and expect the results to contain all conversations with that specific custom field?
See a search dropdown suggestion showing that a custom field with that number has been detected like "custom field Mailbox Number", and click on it

Yes - I apologize. I was dealing with my mother in hospice and click submit prematurely.
Can you share more about your use case and why you're searching for contacts in the first place? (I guess it's to access conversations with that specific contact)
In our case, we have pertainent information about clients we need to search, such as a mailbox number or access code. We need to be able to search by those numbers to ensure we have the proper client. Additionally, yes, it would also be to access conversations with that specific information/contact.
What custom field would you like to search with?
Right now we have "Mailbox Number" as a field. Thats truly what we would like to search (usually a numeric value)
Do you expect searching using a custom field filter or writing the custom field attribute directly in your search query?
It would absolutely would be preferred to have it come up in the search bar.
