Current problems with tag grouping / data exports:
In Front data exports to Excel/csv, all tags that are applied to an email appear in ONE cell (comma separated). Example cell: [tag1,tag2,tag3]
Grouping our tags (such as by color) has no impact on the data export- all tags still appear in ONE cell (rather than in separate columns based on tag grouping / hierarchy). Assume blue = primary tag, orange = secondary tag, green = location tag. Example cell: [tag1,tag2,tag3]
The order in which tags are applied also seems to matter to the data export, which results in a major lack of consistency. Example (with color groupings depicted):
Example cell 2: [tag1,tag2,tag3];
Example cell 3: [tag3,tag1,tag2];
Example cell 4: [tag2,tag3,tag1]
Because of the problems above, ((1) data exports not representing grouped tags into their own unique columns; (2) sensitivity based on the order the tags are added to an email; (3) lack of any tagging hierarchy showing up in data exports), a great deal of manual data manipulation must occur to see any meaningful trends in tag data. Manual steps may include:
splitting comma separated tags into individual columns using a split cell function (see image attached depicting this process)
after splitting into columns, manually grouping/ordering the tags in the separate columns to perform basic filtering
Please improve reporting options for Tags and enable flexibility based on Tag grouping!
