Restrict conversation actions for a specific inbox i.e. View-only inbox access

Today, teammates can be given different sets of conversation permissions (e.g. ability to send a reply) between different Workspaces. However, creating a dedicated Workspace just for this purpose can be over-the-top and have undesired side effects, especially if it will only contain one or two inboxes.

Could we allow a teammate's conversation permissions to be defined per-inbox?

  • Send messages

  • Comment

  • Assign

  • Archive

  • Delete conversations/Mark as spam

  • Move conversation

  • Permanently delete conversation

A simple version of this would be the ability to grant view-only access to a specific inbox.

Yes! Uncertain if this is still true, but I attempted to do something similar a year ago where "view-only" users couldn't archive messages in team inboxes that weren't theirs. Only the team members for that inbox could do archive a message. What actually happened was that they could no longer archive messages even as a participant - they would never be allowed to reach inbox zero.
